Once you have experienced a cup of Connoisseur Teas Whole Leaf Loose Leaf Teas, the harder it is to drink ordinary tea bag tea.
Unlike the tea in tea bags which go through a mechanized crush, tear and curl process, then mechanically filled at the rate of around 2000 bags a minute together with the fine particled categories of broken tea such as fannings and dust, Connoisseur Teas are Whole Loose Leaf Teas of the very finest quality carefully hand packed and blended to preserve the integrity of every leaf!
The smaller grades of tea in tea bags tend to have a much coarser and 'muscular' flavour and aroma compared with Whole Leaf Grades which would always have a deeper richer and softer flavour and a finer fragrance.
The smaller the tea grade the more the tea leaves 'tire' too, because they tend to present a far larger exposed surface area than Whole Leaf Teas.
And when Whole Leaf Tea is loose rather than confined to a small bag, once tea and water meet, it is far easier to maximise the exchanges between water and leaf and derive all the subtle layers and cascades of flavours and aromas.
Most Master Tea Tasters also maintain they can even taste the tea bag paper!
